Reporting for Jury Duty

Jurors Who Must Report

If your jury number is 703549-704474 or 707292-707368, you must report to the courthouse no later than 8:05 a.m. on Monday, 5/20/2013 . Please write your juror number on something that you'll keep with you. We refer to your number throughout your service, and it is important that you remember it. Refer to the map on page 2 of your summons for directions or click here. Park your car in the blue parking lot. This lot opens at 7:00 a.m., and there will be an attendant at the gate to assist you.

Enter the courthouse thru the North entrance, and go to the second floor to the jury assembly room. When you enter the building, you will have to go through a security area. Please do not bring anything in your pocket or purse such as a gun, pocket knife, scissors, knitting needles, etc., which will set off an alarm. Security personnel will take these items from you. Also, newspapers are not allowed. You may, however; bring a book, magazine, or something to occupy your time while you are waiting for jury selection to begin.

Please dress conservatively. Shorts, tank tops, T-shirts, flip flops, etc., are not considered appropriate attire. Clean casual office attire is appropriate.

Jurors Who DO NOT have to Report

If your jury number is between, xxxxxx-xxxxxx, and you are scheduled to report on Monday, 5/20/2013, then you do not have to report or check this site again. A number of cases that were set for trial have settled out of court, and your services will not be required.
