Value Adjustment Board

The Value Adjustment Board (VAB) was created by Florida Statute and consists of three members of the Board of County Commissioners and two members of the School Board.  The Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners is also the Clerk to the Value Adjustment Board.  The Office of the County Attorney is counsel to the Value Adjustment Board.  Petitions may be filed with the VAB in appeal of decisions made by the Property Appraiser.  Petition forms are obtained from the Property Appraiser's Office and filed with the Clerk to the Value Adjustment Board, after which hearings are held by Special Masters appointed by the VAB and results forwarded to the petitioners.  Deadline dates are determined by Florida Statute.
